I have had these pictures for a while but couldn't put anything together until I found this Vintage Hand brush by Nadine Pau. Then things started clicking. Do you think this means my family is tired of me taking their picture?
All from Jessica Bolton's Pastiche For The Boys kit at SBG except for the Vintage Hand brush by Nadine Pau and the cardboard edges from Marcie Reckinger's Border Basics. Font is DB KarahScript
This is my place to share with family and friends. You might find handmade cards, digital scrapbook pages, photos or a little chatter because those are the things I love. My blog is a work in progress, so be patient with me. Most of the time I think I will be talking to myself, but hey, I'm used to that!

It is available today....
Jessica Bolton's new kit, Pastiche For The Boys is available at SBG I love this kit. It is funky and richly colored with some really cool elements. Lots of texture and a nice masculine feel to it. There are tons of great flowers too so don't think it is only for boys. I love Jessica's designs. Here is the hybrid card I made with it last night. All BG's and elements printed on regular cardstock. The only non-digital products are the cardstock, a few eyelets, and the twill tape with the measured marks on it.

Is it Friday already.....
Well, the weekend is here and the weather is so pretty. I am enjoying this time before it gets hot and humid. We never have much of a Spring in the Washington area but right now it is beautiful here. All the dogwoods are in bloom and the azaleas are gorgeous. Don was off from work today but spent the day working on the lawn so I did some CT work. I used a new kit of Jessica Bolton's that will be out at Scrapbookgraphics tomorrow. This one is a definite must-have. I made another Criss Cross card using printed digital files to make the paper and embellishments. I can't post it until tomorrow when the kit releases. Here is a photo of an area of our back yard.

Finally got a chance.....
to have a craft day with my younger sister Chris. She is always so busy that it is not often that we have a chance to visit and work on crafts together. We are both card making addicts. We had a great time and Chris went home with two very pretty cards. She finished hers, but I still had a little work to do on mine. We decided to try a Criss Cross Card. I got the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers here.
SCS is an awesome site for anything stamp related. Everyone at Splitcoast is so helpful and friendly. I always get lots of inspiration there.
Here is my Criss Cross Card. Not a very clear scan because it is lumpy but you get the general idea.
I am going to be making a lot more of these. They are a great way to use up pretty patterned paper. I used Anna Griffin's paper on mine.

I never knew....
that anyone could waste so much time messing around with a silly little blog. Especially an insignificant one like mine. I got the slideshow back in place and figured out how to link some book review sites. I probably need to relearn html. I knew a bit a few years ago, then didn't use it, so most of it is gone from my memory. Maybe I will just learn to be satisfied with this simple blog and not waste too much energy on tweaking it. I have a lot of other projects I want to work on anyway. I started a little sewing project today. I am making cocktail napkins. I've been looking for some but don't like the prices I've seen so I decided to use some of my quilt stash to make some. Pretty simple project and I really do need to use some of that fabric! Speaking of quilts, my sister Carol finished another one and it is really beautiful.

For those of you that didn't get the template.....
I will upload it again today. I didn't see a downloads limit, just the "available for 7 days" message. Sorry for any inconvenience. I will see if I can upload it a couple of places. Thanks for your interest!
Okay here is the deal at Yousendit. The link is good for seven days or 100 downloads.
There is also a bandwidth download limit of 1 GB. I will check out some other places too.

My first blog freebie.....
Alternate link
I made this template for when I want to make digital pages that look like journals or wire bound notebooks. I believe the link will be good for seven days from today, April 20th. If you download it, I would love to know so leave me a comment!
And so it goes...........
As the season changes I am inspired to start up my blog again but find that I have forgotten how to do so many blog related things. Now it will be like starting from scratch again. I have kept my old blog header for now and will start the learning process again. I would like to add a slideshow but until I figure that out here are a couple of my recent scrapbook pages.
