This is my place to share with family and friends. You might find handmade cards, digital scrapbook pages, photos or a little chatter because those are the things I love. My blog is a work in progress, so be patient with me. Most of the time I think I will be talking to myself, but hey, I'm used to that!

I have been working on my taxes....

and I need a break! I hate tax time and every year I say I will keep better records and then I don't. So after a miserable afternoon of finding and organizing paperwork, I decided I deserve a little respite in blog land. Here is another card from my last workshop. Thanks for looking!

Supplies all Stampin' Up!: So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock. Designer paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Paper Pack. Stamp set is from "Celebrate Everything" I used Bermuda Bay and Basic Black Classic ink. Large and small SU Star punches, sponges, SU So Saffron brads and crimper.

Finally a card to post...

This was one of my March workshop cards but I just never got around to photographing it until now. I had a lot of fun showing my stampers how to make the "Faux Suede" flower and leaves. If you haven't tried this technique there is a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. Our Stampin' Up! card stock works so well for this. Jackie Topa has a tutorial on her blog so go over and check it out. Thank you Jackie, for sharing so many cool ideas!

All supplies from Stampin' Up!
Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Rose Red, and Old Olive card stock. Pretty In Pink grosgrain 1/4 inch ribbon. Crimper, SU Circle punches, Bone folder, and Pinking Hearts border punch. Stamp set is "On Your Birthday". Ink Chocolate Chip Classic.

Still working on it. I made this background with Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio. I'm not sure I like it. Back to the drawing board, my laptop, that is!

How the days do fly by....

It has been awhile since I posted but hopefully things will slow down a bit soon and I can get organized enough to have some sort of posting schedule. I think that may be the answer, assigning tasks to everyday of the week. My mom always washed clothes on Monday and we could be sure we would be having homemade soup for dinner that night. She grocery shopping on the same day of the week and had an "ironing" day too. I think that her "schedule" gave our whole family a sense of structure. Nowadays, we seem to be going in so many directions at once, we hardly enjoy the moment we are living. But, alas I digress. I took a short walk down memory lane, not a bad thing. Anyway, here is my little card.

Supplies: All from Stampin' Up! Paper from the Welcome Neighbor Designer Paper Pad. Stamps: Whimsical Words both SAB 2010 choices. Sage Shadow, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. White gel pen for the dots and a little machine stitching.
