This is my place to share with family and friends. You might find handmade cards, digital scrapbook pages, photos or a little chatter because those are the things I love. My blog is a work in progress, so be patient with me. Most of the time I think I will be talking to myself, but hey, I'm used to that!

I finished my demo board...

I am so glad to be finished with it. It folds up and is easily transported to workshops and I attached the cards with that putty that looks like Play Doh. That way I can change the cards without a lot of trouble. The cards I am using for make and takes are not on this board. This is just to show the attendee some more card ideas. I said I would post a photo so here it is:

I also want to share another little 3x3 card with you. This one is on the demo board and uses one of my favorite SU products. The Curly Label Punch Bundle which has 4 stamps and the punch.

I think I'm hooked...

on little 3x3 inch cards. When I first saw one of them at a workshop. I thought what could you used that little card for, except for a gift enclosure? Once you start making them, you don't really care, they are just fun to make. I thought you might like to see one of mine.

All supplies from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking!

It is a rainy Saturday..

but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I like a rainy weekend once in a while. It is a great reason to hunker down at home and read or watch movies. I don't feel guilty for just hanging out. Hey, it's raining out, right? Today I am finishing my demo board. Just two more cards to make for it and I'll take some pictures and post it. I'm going to put a pot of chicken soup on to cook and then back to work on the board. In the meantime, here is a scrapbook page I finished yesterday. Thanks for visiting!

Fall is really here...

Today was cool and windy with leaves falling and blowing all over the yard. I love this time of year! I seem to have more energy and I can never get enough of the gorgeous Fall colors! Even when I am inside, I still can enjoy the beautiful colors. When we moved into this house about 17 years ago we only put window treatments on the front of the house and bedrooms. My main floor is one story up and backs to our woods, so privacy has never been an issue. It has given me a front row seat to the changes of seasons and been a source of relaxation and enjoyment. Here is my view from my breakfast nook table. If is is Autumn in your part of the world, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

Staying focused...

Is it a problem for you? It sure is for me! There are just so many things I want to do and so many things I need to do. And... the wants never seem to jive with the shoulds! Yesterday they did, and I completed a couple of things I wanted and needed to do. I finished up my card demo board and designed some business cards for myself. I will post a picture of my demo board when I finish all the cards that go on it for display. In the meantime, here is the business card. Look familar? I use the digital designs I made for my blog header and a little mini kit for digital scrapbooking. Can you tell I love pink and black and polka dots?

IMAGE REMOVED
I had to go back to the drawing board for my business card. I was unaware that using the Stampin Up logo on business cards is not allowed unless purchased from their provider. I want to thank Debbi who very sweetly let me know that. Thanks Debbi!

You gotta do what you gotta do...

If it was up to me, I probably would be scrapping or making cards most of every day. I love losing myself in the process of creating and I enjoy the finished product too. Crafting also has been a great distraction from all the bad news about the economy and all the troublesome things that are a part of living life in 2008. Once in a while I have to take care of real life business, so today I went to the store for some groceries, to the bank, and to WalMart for some office supplies. By the time I got home it was time to cook dinner. I do what I must. But my craft room was calls out to me and my muse beckons so I did finish and post a couple of layouts. What can I say? I have no will power.

I used Kim Hill's Fall Splendor and Blane's Room kits on these pages. For full credits click here to go to my gallery.

Sigh, the end of a busy weekend...

I must be slipping. We had a dinner and birthday celebration for my sweet sister-in-law, Pilar last night and I forgot to bring my camera. My sister Carol cooked a fabulous dinner, we played bingo with "White Elephant" prizes and celebrated Pilar's birthday with cake and ice cream. It was just the siblings and their spouses along with our niece Raychel. We got so silly playing bingo and just acted like fools. I think we overdosed on the M & M's we were using for the bingo markers! Since I didn't have the camera, I don't have pics to post but here is a card I made for a workshop planned for Nov. 1. I used the Green Tea Designer paper and the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking.

It can't be friday already...

I haven't even unpacked from our trip yet. Well technically I have if dumping everything out of my suitcases onto the bed counts. I guess not, huh? Well since it is going to be a really busy weekend, I thought I would get a quick post done and a little blog hopping first. Here is my last scrapbook layout. I used Tracy Blankenship Templates with Attitudes and a Kim Hill's Autumn Splendor kit.

I'm back from Vegas

A little older, a little poorer...
Actually we had a great time, saw some wonderful shows and enjoyed all the sunshine. I have lots to post but I need to catch up on some things first. Hello to all my new blog buddies from the Splitcoast Stampers Blog group! Thanks for all the nice comments. I'll be making the rounds in the next couple of days. I can't wait to check out all your great blogs!
I have a digital layout to post tonight, then I'm off to bed. This was my layout for a challenge at CG Essentials. A layout for Zoe's mom, Laura. Baby and photo by Laura. Isn't she adorable? I used the Just So Tweet kit by Kim Hill made to match the little outfit Zoe is wearing. The number art is from a template by Kristin Tilley. Font is Minya Nouvelle. Thanks for looking.
